Our Services
Individual Sessions
During one-on-one sessions, parents and caregivers will learn strategies and skills to support their child’s development. These sessions are tailored to the individual child and provide opportunities to identify areas of need, and support parents with clear next steps.
Tele-Intervention
We offer online tele-intervention sessions as an option to help families in remote areas or those seeking flexible care options. This ensures all families have access to our multi-disciplinary team and early intervention service. To learn more or to register for this program, please contact our Head of Clinical Services at (08) 9387 9838 or email kpicotti@tsh.org.au
Therapy Playgroups
Children with hearing loss and their families are invited to attend a therapy playgroup with similarly aged peers. The groups aim to connect families on a similar journey and teach them strategies and techniques to support their child’s development across a range of developmental areas.
Our Facilities
Our TSH facilities are thoughtfully designed to support early intervention for children, offering an environment that nurtures each child’s growth and development.
Movement Space (Gym)
To support our early intervention efforts, we have Movement Space – a specially-designed student gym tailored to the needs of these children. This facility provides a safe and stimulating environment where children can enhance their physical development while also working on their communication goals. Through a combination of play-based activities and guided exercises, Movement Space helps children build strength, coordination, and confidence, all of which are essential for their overall development.
Our playgroup rooms are designed to allow natural exploration and learning. Each week, our team sets up a range of age-appropriate learning experiences that families can explore with their children. The learning experiences target various areas including listening and communication, motor development, sensory exploration, visual perception, self-care, and many more.
We are fortunate to have two dedicated movement spaces where children can develop gross motor and balance skills.
Family Room
This room is equipped with coffee/tea making facilities, toys, toilet amenities, and parent information.
It is open for use by parents and families whose children are enrolled in any of our programs. Families may use this room to relax while waiting for an appointment, catch up with other parents after dropping off their children, discuss details with our dedicated NDIS consultant, or attend a parent education talk/workshop.
Chatterbox Playgroup Rooms
TSH has its own dedicated library with resources for both children and adults. All families enrolled in our programs have access to our library, located at our Wembley Centre, and are welcome to borrow resources or use this space to share books together.
